Mild Steel is a type of Carbon steel with Carbon below 0.25%. It is also known as soft steel because of low strength and hardness. Its low hardness and good plasticity make Mild Steel easy to process and shape, such as cutting, stamping, and pressing.
Mild Steel has good welding performance. Due to the low melting point and thermal expansion coefficient, it is easy to get integrate weld on Mild Steel products.
Additionally, low Carbon can save cost to produce Mild Steel. So Mild Steel normally is cheaper than other steel.
