Fusion Welding is one of the welding which was wildly used in general metal fabrication. To fix two metal parts together tight, the joint of them needs to be fused in high temperature, and let the melt-solution mix without pressure. When the temperature reduced, the melt-solution would be solidified together.
To achieve the fusion welding perfectly, below skills and methods are significant:
1. Prepare well for welding: To wipe off the oxide and contaminant on the face of metal parts, cleaning and rust removal are necessary; to ensure the equipment operate normally and the welding wire stably, the voltage and electricity of welding equipment must be installed and debugged accurately.
2. Quality test and retrospect: This is to test the result of welding including visual check, dimension measurement and mechanics performance testing. Setting the traceability system of quality, recording the material, parameter, and the operational process of welding. These could assist to analyse and improve if any problems during the welding.
3. Weld seam: According to the different standard of welding and to reach the quality requirements, X-Ray detection, UT(ultrasonic testing), and visual check always were used for checking the weld seam.
4. Safety inspection: During the welding, it’s importing to wear the applicable safety equipment, such as gloves, mask, or safety glasses to avoid any potential risk because of excess temperature or using inappropriate welding materials.
